Who is HK ERA?

 "The eldest of six offspring, I grew up on the Chesapeake Bay, where our parents instilled in us a curiosity for learning, exploring ideas, and observing the world around us. From my earliest days, I have been in awe of the forces of nature that surround us seemingly unnoticed and taken for granted… breezes, tides, sound waves, flowing streams, etc. I have notebooks full of detailed sketches and schematics of ideas, what-ifs, why-nots, all spawned from the innate curiosity that is intrinsic to my nature.

As life is wont to do, I have spent much of my time practicing my trade as a wood craftsman, raising my family, and serving my community. All the while making note of the amount of pollution being generated in our quest for energy. It’s also befuddled me why humankind has such a proclivity for making the simple so unnecessarily complex and inefficient. Case in point, observing the massive amount of energy being discharged from the tips of wind turbines as they spin. Not to mention how their short lifespan is now leaving blades littered all about. 

Energy Research Associates (ERA) was born out of the need to take new, fresh, more simplistic approaches to meeting the world’s energy needs while being gentler to our planet. Current projects (Non-Tidal River HydroKinetic Energy and Port Berth Generators) are not hair-brained ideas but patented / patent-pending designs that have been vetted by the U.S. Corp of Engineers.

A better energy future is realistically possible. I look forward to working with you to make it happen."
